Each spring, the Naperville Community Gardeners organize a plant sale where you can buy plants and seedlings and talk with club members who are active in gardening around the Naperville area.
The sale will be held in the gravel parking lot at the north end of the Ron Ory Community Garden Plots, 811 S. West St., west of Naperville Central and Edward Hospital.

- FREE GARDENING ADVICE - Our experienced gardeners will be on hand to offer any advice or help you might want.
- PLANTS FROM MEMBERS' GARDENS are the winning ones we love and have extras to share, along with our advice and experience.
- SEEDLINGS GROWN BY MEMBERS - These include heirloom tomatoes and other member favorites.
- FLOWER SEEDLINGS from Prosek's Nursery.
- Plenty of free parking and help back to your car with your purchases.
- PLEASE SUPPORT US so we can continue to offer educational programs for the community and continue with our community projects.
You never know what you will find at the Naperville Community Gardeners' Plant Sale. Some of the plants offered in 2024 were:
Flowers: Black cotton, Yellow Datura, Dahlias, Zinnias and Cosmos.
Vegetables: Filderkraut cabbage, Bequinho peppers, miscellaneous peppers, and onions.
Herbs: Geranium, Attar of Roses; Greek Oregano, Flat Parsley, Sweet Basil and Thyme.
Tomatoes: Brandy Boy, Roma VF, Big Rainbow Beefsteak, Black Krim, Red Beefsteak, Italian Heirloom, Cherokee Purple, Ponderosa Red, Black Cherry and Luigi. We will also have a container tomato variety called Super Bush.
Perennials: German Iris, 6 varieties; Rhubarb 'Krimson'; Egyptian Walking Onions; Potato Onions; Clove currant; Black Berry, Thornless, native; Black Raspberry, native; Agastache 'Blue & White'; Monarda Fistulosa, native; Physostegia 'Obedient Plant'; Columbine, native; Goldsturm Rudbeckia, native; Polygonum Variegated; Canadian Ginger, native; Bleeding Heart; Rudbeckia Triloba, native; Nodding Wild Onions and Celandine Poppy, native.
Houseplants: Spider plants - these look great in an outdoor mixed container. Also fill out nicely if planted in the ground. People will ask which Hosta it is. Various Sansevieria and Tradescantia and a large Ficus tree.
Miscellaneous: Moringa
One of our members is a Dahlia lover who brought tubers for the following varieties.
